The daily dosage was 100mg/kg and given intravenously in 4 divided doses. During this period cefmetazone was administered alone.

In 13 cases of pneumonia, the results were excellent in 2 cases, good in 9 cases and ineffective in 2 cases, so the efficacy rate was 84.6%.
For the cases of soft tissue infections, the results were excellent in all 3 cases.
In the cases that staphylococcus aureus was isolated, the results were all effective.
